Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, congratulated the nation’s citizens on the opening of the new Parliament building on Sunday. In addition, he referred to the sengol as a “symbol of India’s justice, fairness, sovereignty, and strength” and said it was placed in the Lok Sabha chamber of the new structure.
On Sunday morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi erected the revered Sengol in the Lok Sabha chamber and officially opened the new Parliament building. The prime minister did “Ganapati Homam” to ask Gods to bless the opening of the new Parliament building amid Vedic chanting by monks from Karnataka’s Shringeri Math.

He added, “The sacred Sengol is a symbol of India’s justice, fairness, sovereignty, and strength,” in a different tweet. In the midst of Vedic mantra chanting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi installed a sacred sengol in the new Parliament House today as a collective statement of all Indians’ respect and trust in their country’s rich cultural history and outstanding democratic ideals.
