A red alert has been issued for Raigarh, Palghar, Pune and Satara districts. Heavy rains are expected in Konkan as well as in Madhya Maharashtra. Along with Mumbai, a warning of heavy rain has also been issued in Thane. Orange alert for rain has been issued in Ratnagiri, Kolhapur, Thane, Nashik, Yavatmal, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli districts. Yellow alert for rain has been issued in some districts of North Maharashtra and Vidarbha. In view of the heavy rains, the administration has appealed to the citizens to take proper precautions. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Mumbai today with orange alert.
