Pune: Police has finally arrested her friend Rahul Handore in connection with the murder of MPSC topper Darshana Pawar. Four days ago, Darshan’s dead body was found at the base of Rajgad Fort. Rahul, who has been roaming in different states, has finally been shackled in Mumbai. The Pune Rural Police took Rahul into custody and arrested him. It is reported that Rahul has confessed to killing Darshan. It was clear from the post-mortem report that she was murdered.
Darshana Pawar and Rahul Handore are distant relatives of each other. They have known each other for many years. Rahul wanted to marry Darshan. But the Pawar family was against this marriage due to their relationship. Her family had decided to marry her elsewhere. Darshan recently passed the Maharashtra Public Service Commission examination with third rank. On the other hand, Rahul had failed in the exam. There is a primary suspicion that Rahul killed Darshan out of anger over the family’s opposition to the marriage. Pune Superintendent of Police Ankit Goyal will hold a press conference and give detailed information about this this afternoon.
Darshana had passed the State Public Service Commission (MPSC) examination with the third rank in the state. She was also selected as a forest range officer. She was felicitated by an organization in Pune. She came to Pune on June 9. She was staying with a friend in Narhe area. She left the house telling her friend that she wants to go to Sinhagad on 12th June.
Darshan had informed the family about this. She was accompanied by friend Rahul Handore. On June 12, when her family contacted her, they noticed that her mobile was switched off. The family then started searching. However, her family was worried as her whereabouts were not known. He reported Darshana missing to the Sinhagad road police.
